AES Engineering Scholarship  – DEADLINE 10/8/23

This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post-secondary educational facility. You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible.

AGC Maine Scholarship – DEADLINE 3/1/24

The AGC Maine Education Foundation is pleased to invest in the future of the construction industry by awarding scholarships to deserving students studying engineering and/or construction management.

American Legion Department of Maine Application for Children & Youth Scholarship – DEADLINE 5/1/24
This scholarship is available for any senior looking to further their education.

American Society of Civil Engineers Maine Section Scholarship – DEADLINE 3/1/24
Applicants must be Maine residents and that the scholarship will only be issued after we receive proof of enrollment in a four-year ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program.  We will hold the scholarship up to two years if necessary until a Civil Engineering major is declared.

BPW/Maine – Rachel E. Lemieux & Arline Andrews Lovejoy Youth Scholarship – 4/13/24
This scholarship is awarded to a female who will enroll in an accredited college or training program of more than one year in length.

This scholarship is awarded to a female who will enroll in an accredited college or training program of more than one year in length.

Clyde Russell Scholarship Fund – DEADLINE 2/1/24
This scholarship is available to seniors graduating from high school who will attend a four-year college. This is also available to seniors graduating from high school who will attend a Maine Community College.

Daniel E. Lambert Memorial Scholarship – DEADLINE 5/1/24
Applicants must demonstrate financial need, must be a resident of the State of Maine, U.S. Citizen, parent or grandparent must be a veteran.

Dirigo Federal Credit Union Scholarship

For members or those eligible to become a member of Dirigo FCU and be in good school standing.

Don Pierce Scholarship– DEADLINE 5/15/24

This scholarship is available to a  senior or postgraduate of Jefferson Maine who is attending a Technical School or Technical College

Doris L. Young Scholarship – DEADLINE  5/1/24
This scholarship is available to China residents who have lived in the town of China for the last 7 consecutive years.

EEqual Scholarship Awards Program – DEADLINE TBD

This scholarship is for students (ages 16-23) who are currently struggling with homelessness (McKinney-Vento), poverty, or a family in transition and are also dedicated and motivated to pursue higher education. This is a need-based scholarship.

Elks National Foundation Legacy Scholarship – DEADLINE 2/6/24
Legacy Awards are $4,000 scholarships ($1,000 per year for four years) for children and grandchildren of Elks members.

Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student Scholarship – DEADLINE 2/5/24
The Elks National Foundation will award 500 four-year scholarships to the highest-rated applicants.

FAME – Educators for Maine Program – DEADLINE TBD
This program is a forgivable loan program for Maine students who pursue careers as teachers, childcare providers or school speech pathologists.

Gardiner Federal Credit Union Scholarship – DEADLINE 4/26/24
Multiple scholarships are given to local area graduates who are pursuing post-secondary education.

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program – DEADLINE TBD 1/4/24
Honoring the legacy and character of our nation’s 40th President, the GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program rewards college-bound students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship with financial assistance to pursue higher education.

Gertrude M. Jordan Memorial Trust Fund – DEADLINE 5/15/24
Applicants must be a senior who resides in Palermo.

James A. Veilleux Scholarship – DEADLINE TBD
The KSW Federal Credit Union gives $500.00 to a graduating senior from a local high school.  It was established to recognize outstanding full-time students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievements.

James V. Day Scholarship – DEADLINE 5/1/2024
Applicants must demonstrate financial need, be a Maine resident & US citizen, and have a parent or grandparent who is a member of the Maine American Legion.

Joe Bornstein – Arrive Alive Creative Contest – DEADLINE 5/3/24
This contest is open to graduating seniors who wish to send a message to their peers about the dangers of drinking and driving and of distracted driving.

John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay Contest – DEADLINE 1/12/24
The Profile in Courage Essay Contest challenges students to write an original and creative essay that demonstrates an understanding of political courage as described by John F. Kennedy in Profiles in Courage.

Joseph B. Ezhaya Memorial Scholarship – DEADLINE 4/19/24
Joe Ezhaya was a community leader who distinguished himself with his warmth, enthusiasm, generosity, and particularly, his friendships. Successful candidates for this scholarship should share Joe’s interest in citizenship, and community service, and exemplify his spirit and vitality.

Kennebec Retired Educators Association Scholarship – DEADLINE TBD
This scholarship is available to any high school senior who will be attending a four-year college or university in preparation for the teaching profession.

KVFCU Scholarship – DEADLINE 05/05/24

This scholarship is limited to a primary member of KV Federal Credit Union and a high school senior that will be attending an accredited degree in a 2 or 4 year post-secondary program as a full or part-time student (Accredited Trade School is also acceptable)

Kids’ Chance of Maine Scholarship DEADLINE (applications accepted on a rolling basis. Scholarships are reviewed and awarded for Full-Time Fall/Spring semesters.)

This scholarship is for students of workers who have been killed or seriously injured in a compensable work-related accident or occupational disease.

2024 KV Literacy Vol – Peter Townsend Scholarship

Lee Haskell Memorial Golf Scholarship – DEADLINE 5/3/24

Given to a senior who plans to attend college and who demonstrates academic achievement, excellence of character, financial need and active engagement with the sport of golf.

Lisa Eid Scholarship – Deadline 2/1/24

Students pursuing high education in the field of science, medicine, the helping sciences and/or Cancer research.

Literacy Volunteers of Kennebec – Peter Townsend Scholarship – Deadline 4/1/24

The recipient must be graduating in 2024 and plan to attend at least a two-year higher education facility.

Maine Blue Collar Scholarship – DEADLINE 4/15/24
This scholarship is for seniors who will be pursuing a career in the trades.  This scholarship can be utilized to purchase tools, uniforms, books or for tuition at a trade school.
Maine Chiefs of Police Scholarship – DEADLINE 4/15/2024
Graduating Seniors who plan to enter the law enforcement profession.

This scholarship is for seniors who plan on majoring in ecology and economics of Maine.

Maine Driver Education Students ICO MEDEA – Deadline 3/29/24

To encourage and assist young people of Maine to start a post-secondary education in any field: vocational, technical, or academic. One scholarship for any resident of Maine and a second scholarship for a MEDEA member’s family.

Maine Educational Loan Authority – 
The Maine Loan™ is available to eligible undergraduate and graduate students to borrow funds up to the full cost of education less other financial aid. This loan program exists to bridge the gap between the full cost of college and traditional financial aid resources. The Maine Loan™ is Maine’s Alternative Student Loan™.

Students must plan to pursue a degree in graphic arts pertaining to printing.

Maine Legislative Memorial Scholarship – DEADLINE 2/1/24
The Maine Legislative Memorial Scholarship Fund was created to annually recognize one student from each county who is planning to pursue their education at a 2 or 4-year degree-granting Maine college or technical school.  This scholarship is available for full or part-time students.

Maine Sports Hall of Fame Scholarship – DEADLINE 4/22/24

The scholarships are based on athletic performance, academic excellence and community service.

Maine StateTroopers Foundation – Women in Law Enforcement Scholarship – DEADLINE TBD

Supports and encourages young women to pursue careers in law enforcement

This scholarship will be awarded to two seniors who have participated in cheerleading.

Mainely Character – DEADLINE 3/1/24
This scholarship is to reward Maine students who have demonstrated a continuing commitment to character and self-development. Apply online.
This scholarship is for those majoring in manufacturing trade or related areas (Mechanical Engineering, Machine Tool Technology, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Welding, CADCAM, etc.) and restricted to the study of precision machining technology, manufacturing technology, welding, and engineering and will be used to pay for tuition costs and textbooks only.
This scholarship is available to a Maine student who intends to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in the biological or earth sciences.
Only dependent unmarried children under age 23 of active-duty personnel, reserve/guard and retired military members, or survivors of service members who died while on active duty or survivors of individuals who died while receiving retired pay from the military, may apply for a scholarship.

Mitchell Institute Scholarship – DEADLINE 4/1/24
To be eligible, each recipient must be a legal resident of Maine and must plan to attend a four-year or two-year degree program at an accredited college or university and must be a graduating senior from a public high school in Maine. The strongest applicants demonstrate financial need, academic promise, and community impact.

Mpowerment Scholarship – DEADLINE 5/23/24

Awarded to exemplary seniors who embrace and empower our community one smile at a time.

National Association of Women in Construction – Maine Chapter 276 – DEADLINE 4/15/24
Applicants must be enrolled in a course, which is specifically designed for construction, such as carpentry, civil engineering, architecture, welding, electrical, plumbing or construction management.

NETCo Scholarship Fund for Windsor, ME Residents – DEADLINE 5/25/24
This scholarship was established to encourage Windsor residents to enroll in college.

New Dimensions Federal Credit Union Scholarship – DEADLINE 4/1/24
New Dimensions FCU will award two $2,500 scholarships to area graduating students who have excelled academically and have been active in the community.

LGBTQ+ Maine resident between ages 17 and 22 planning to attend or currently attending an accredited post-secondary institution or technical vocational/trade school with a demonstrated financial need.

Remy J. Pettengill Memorial Scholarship – DEADLINE TBD

The scholarship will be awarded to a “good all-around person who exemplifies Remy’s qualities of kindness, friendship, and helpfulness to others.”

This scholarship was established in honor of MES founder Dick Pierce.  Scholarships are awarded based on merit and financial need, with the goal of assisting students who might not otherwise continue their post-secondary education without financial assistance. Scholarships are awarded on a renewable basis for up to 4 years (depending on the grade level of the student). In order to receive renewable awards, students must earn a minimum of 12 credits per semester and maintain a 2.5 GPA.

Ruffed Grouse Society Scholarship – DEADLINE 4/1/24
This scholarship will be given to a deserving student who will be starting their education in one of the following areas of study: Wildlife Conservation, Conservation Law Enforcement, Forest Management or a closely related field.

Two $1000 Seacoast Security scholarships, which are available to high school or current college students pursuing a degree at a Maine technical school.

Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund – DEADLINE 5/1/24
Applicants must be a US citizen and a permanent resident of a New England State.  They would be a full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree (BA, BS, BFA, BSN, for example) for the first time.

The American Legion High School Oratorical Scholarship – DEADLINE 12/1/2023
The main purpose of the High School Oratorical Scholarship Program is to develop a deeper knowledge and appreciation of the Constitution of the United States on the part of high school students. This contest is for the student who looks for an academic challenge and an opportunity to gain scholarship monies.

Town of Jefferson Scholarships and Merit Achievement Awards – DEADLINE 4/30/24
The Town of Jefferson Scholarship applicants must be a resident of Jefferson for at least 4 years.  The Merit Achievement Award applicants must be a resident and a graduate of Jefferson Village School.

United States JCI Senate Foundation Scholarship – DEADLINE 1/19/24
This scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors in the US, where that state has an active JCI Senate program.

University of Maine Pulp and Paper Foundation – DEADLINE 12/31/23

students enrolled in the UMaine College of Engineering. High school students planning to enroll at UMaine and study Chemical, Mechanical, Computer/Electrical, or Civil Engineering as well as Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Technology or Forestry are eligible for these scholarships.

Vassalboro Business Association Scholarship – DEADLINE 4/15/24
Applicant must have been a resident of Vassalboro for the past two years and provide evidence of community service in that same two-year period.

Vegetarian Resource Group Scholarship – DEADLINE 2/20/24
The Vegetarian Resource Group each year will award a scholarship to graduating U.S. high school students who have promoted vegetarianism in their schools and/or communities.

VII Corps Desert Storm Veterans Association Scholarship – DEADLINE 12/17/23
The VII Corps Desert Storm Veterans Association annually awards scholarships to VII Corps veterans and family members.

Waldo County Extension Association – DEADLINE 4/1/24

Waldo County residents entering their first or second year of post-secondary education.  Examples of eligible fields of study include, but are not limited to agriculture, horticulture, crop science, animal sciences, natural resource conservation, environmental sciences, home economics, nutrition, food systems, preventative health, youth development, and education.

Waldo County Extension Association/4H- DEADLINE – 4/1/24

Applicants must be pursuing a career in a field that supports the Cooperative Extension’s mission “to help Maine people improve their lives through an educational process that uses research-based knowledge”.
