Fulltime and Spare Bus Drivers:

Erskine Academy, an independent 9-12 school in South China, Maine, seeks full-time and spare bus drivers to join a four-member full-time team to provide safe transport of students from home to school, school to home, and extracurricular trips and activities.  Applicants should hold or be eligible to hold a valid State of Maine school bus operator’s license (Class B with P & S endorsement.  Drivers work the school year calendar, with workday length varying by the number of runs scheduled, and are compensated competitively. Interested persons are invited to submit a letter of intent; resume of education and work experience; names of, or letters from, three references.  Candidates hired must be approved by the Maine Department of Education’s criminal history check.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS TEACHER (Full-time):  Erskine Academy, an independent 9-12 school in South China, Maine, serving primarily public high school students on a town-paid tuition basis, seeks a full-time English teacher to join a well-established team offering courses from introductory to Advanced Placement and concurrent enrollment with local colleges. Candidates should be Maine certified, eligible for Maine certification, or otherwise qualified by relevant experience.

PHYSICAL SCIENCE TEACHER (Full-time):  Erskine Academy, an independent 9-12 school in South China, Maine, serving primarily public high school students on a town-paid tuition basis, seeks a full-time teacher of physical science to join its six-member science faculty, offering courses from introductory to concurrent enrollment with local colleges. Proficiency in teaching robotics, computer science, and STEM to prepare the Academy’s 540 students for the global workplace is preferred. Candidates should be Maine certified, eligible for certification, or otherwise qualified by relevant experience.
