GivingTuesday 2020

Created in 2012, GivingTuesday began as a simple idea: designate the Tuesday following Thanksgiving as a day to encourage people to do good.  GivingTuesday is now an independent nonprofit and global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity. Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger, supporting a cause or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity matters and makes a difference.

In an era unlike any other in recent times, our world could use Erskine Academy graduates, and we could sure use our current families and our alumni from nearby and far.  This GivingTuesday, please consider your school or alma mater—Erskine Academy—its goodness, memories, and accomplishments. Consider, too,  the alterations to our program, the many challenges faced by our teachers and staff, and the diverse needs of our students due to COVID-19.  If you can, we encourage you to “pay it forward” now by participating in GivingTuesday, December 1, 2020.  Our collective gifts of any size will fuel the efforts of our “little school on Chadwick Hill” to do a lot of good during a less than ideal year.   We believe we can go further and faster with our village’s shared expression of generosity.

Regardless of circumstances or situation, we are firm in our resolve to fulfill Erskine Academy’s mission by adhering to our foundational values—Scholarship, Leadership, Stewardship, and Relationships.  On behalf of the students and families we currently serve and the generations of learners to come, thank you for being a part of our community and legacy.

Happy GivingTuesday, and we wish you all the best. #EAgives
