Cohort C signups for Trimester 3

Greetings Parents, Students, Friends:

Though spring provides increased hope for eradicating all things Covid-19, with life and school eventually returning to normal, we have not yet entirely eliminated the disease’s effects.  Maine’s CDC and Department of Education continue to enforce mask, distancing, and cleaning mandates to mitigate the negative impact of Covid-19.  As of today, it appears likely these mitigation efforts will remain in place throughout the remainder of this school year; thus, Erskine Academy will continue in its hybrid learning model for the foreseeable future.  With that said, should the Maine CDC or the Maine Department of Education change or discontinue the current school mitigation protocols, Erskine Academy will happily adjust accordingly, maximizing the number of students attending EA each day for live instruction.

We are quickly coming upon the closure of our second trimester, which ends Friday, March 19th; the third trimester begins Monday, March 22nd.  As part of our hybrid learning model, EA will maintain the option for a fully remote learning environment.  As a reminder, students who opt into Cohort “C” (fully remote) do so for the entire trimester.  By opting into the fully remote program for the third trimester, students and families are doing so for the remainder of this school year.

Families wishing to register their student(s) for fully remote instruction in trimester three are required to fill out and submit the registration document by ThursdayMarch 18th.  Please access this form at:

Should your student currently be in our fully remote instructional program and wish to stay in that setting, you are still required to fill out the attached form for the third trimester.  All students who do not have a registration request form on file by March 18th will be placed in the appropriate hybrid cohort for the remainder of the year.

If you have questions regarding transitioning into or out of Erskine Academy’s remote learning program or have questions regarding the registration form itself, please contact me, Associate Headmaster Jamie Soule, at or by phone 445-2962.

Kind regards and my warmest wishes for a healthy and vibrant spring,
