Custodian

CUSTODIAN (Full-time): Proudly named as one of the “Best Places to Work in Maine,” Erskine Academy, an independent 9-12 school in South China, Maine, serving primarily public high school students on a town-funded basis, seeks a custodian to join a 6-member full-time, year-round custodial team, working 2:00 pm through 10:00 pm, Monday through Friday, during the school year, daytime hours during summer and school vacations, and additional hours as necessary. Competitive wages and benefits, including employer-paid health, dental, sick days, Earned Time Off days, vacation, and holidays each year.


Duties include but are not limited to: cleaning classrooms, offices, and restrooms; operating basic power tools; moving furniture; assisting with general maintenance as requested. Candidate must be able to climb stairs, bend, stoop, kneel, lift at least 50 lbs, and carry items repetitively while performing job duties. Candidate must have a positive attitude and work well in a team setting.
