Erskine Academy presents “We Need To Talk…

…About School Consolidation and What It Means For Erskine Academy.”

Wednesday, May 28, 2008
7:00 p.m.
Erskine Academy Gymnasium

Erskine Academy administrators Donald Poulin and Michael McQuarrie cordially invite the public for presentation and conversation around the issues of School Consolidation and Reorganization and their potential effect on school choice and Erskine Academy.

Although the Maine Legislature preserved “school choice” for the communities served by Erskine Academy, the permanence of choice and the future of Erskine Academy in particular are concerns being raised by the towns and those working on school reorganization plans in the region.

Please join us to learn how to better ensure that school choice—a Maine tradition unfortunately not extended to all Maine towns—is secure in our region. We will separate lore from law and fact from fiction regarding Erskine Academy, the independent school of choice for over 700 families, now in its 125th year of providing meaningful educational experiences and committed to having many more.

For more information, please contact Mike McQuarrie at (207) 445-2962

The “We Need To Talk…” series is an opportunity for parents and Erskine Academy personnel to meet for casual conversation about teaching, learning, student well-being and other topics of interest.
