Director of Guidance
Erskine Academy, an independent 9–12 secondary school located in South China, Maine serving primarily public high school students on a town-paid tuition basis, is now accepting applications for its DIRECTOR OF GUIDANCE full-time position for Fall 2018. The Director of Guidance is dedicated to the mission of the Academy and school counseling—to see, be with, and help students. The director administers the details of a continuous guidance operation and leads efforts and facilitates programming to support students’ educational, social, and personal development. The Director of Guidance is a positive person with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, excellent judgment, superior organization, and has demonstrated competency in scheduling, counseling, collaborating with others, and making student success.
The Director of Guidance is qualified by:
1. A master’s degree in school counseling or related field
2. Maine Department of Education Guidance Counselor Certification (075) or eligible for state certification
3. Prior experience

2. Three letters of recommendations
3. Academic transcripts (official or unofficial are acceptable), professional certifications, and a copy of Maine’s criminal history check approval.

Evening Custodian
Qualifications: High school diploma; certified as able to perform duties by school’s physician (ability to lift 45 lbs); demonstrate aptitude and competence for successful fulfillment of assigned responsibilities; able to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with students, parents, community and school personnel; neat appearance, cheerful disposition; such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
